JCI - Junior Chamber International
In 2005, I finally got my father to explain to me what this organisation was all about. Because I had participated as a kid for many years, but never really got to understand what it was all about.
My first meeting with the members, at the age of 23, I was the youngest member. And many of those have become good friends of mine. Gave me a lot of experience I could not have got any other place. In my time as member I have done a lot.
I got to be part of the project group for the National convention held in my town Molde in 2005, and I ended up being the projectleader for the National convention in 2015.
In these 10 years, all my experience paid off. Literally. I ended up making 150 000 NOK more a year because of my experience with project management.
I ended my career in JCI Norway with the honour to be JCI Norways National president. (Thats the reason for the fancy chain.)
If you are 18-40 years old. I suggest you check out Junior Chamber International or just give it a google search for your country.
